    hey all,

I purchased a Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) Five (Five not V, uppercase roman numerals were used for only mode year 2010 Prius liftback models) about 6 months ago. When I first got it the "range" display on my dash would claim somewhere around 425 miles on a full tank. Now when I fill it up it says 375. What would cause this? Weather? Driving habits? I'm not sure if it adapts to my driving or not.

I just wanna make sure something isn't wrong with my car.

    Thanks!

It will take your average mpg and multiply around ten times mpg. So if your average mpg is 37.5 then the "range" will read 375. Most get the rated 42 mpg so their range is around 420 miles. Regardless you almost always have a gallon left when the range says zero, which is the reason you will almost never put in more than 10.5 gallons in your 12 gallon tank.

Ohhhh ok that makes sense. I didn't know it could do that. And my MPG has dropped this winter.

    Thanks for the info!
