    Hello
u have a 2008 Toyota Prius with 23k mileage. Whenever I drive over 30mph, I get a noise that comes from the front of the car. The noise gets louder as I drive faster. I just got the tires replaced, and that did not resolve the issue. I want to know what the problem is? Is it normal for Prius's to make this noise?
I just went to my mechanic and he told me that its the front wheel bearings. Can that possibly be the problem with my car.

Yes, faulty wheel bearings would cause a whining noise that will increase with speed.

The drivers side front wheel bearing went out on my 07 at 30K and many reports of failed front wheel bearings.
It made a wup wup noise at around 25 to 35 mph's.

Is there a DIY manual on PC from someone that has replaced the front bearings? The suspension write ups were great for the suspension R&R I did couple weeks ago.

I second that request: why not sticky the basic write ups like a wheel bearing R&R.

I'm on about page 4 of a search...
