I've got a couple of 2008 Prii. In Colorado it makes sense to lift them both for snow and curb scraping. The $700 price tag before install makes them out of reach. $350 is a bit steep for an older car. $250 is do able. But I dont know how there demand is.

Hey, so I got a lift from Prius off-road and I love it! Drivability is way improved and that alone has made the terrain I navigate camping much easier. I will be ready to take the next step to bigger tires soon. Do you have any experience with the difference between 215/55 and 215/60? I have 17 inch wheels. For 15s I guess it would be the difference between 215/65 and 215/70. I’m not sure if the extra inch of clearance is worth it is I can save on mpg and handling with a slightly smaller tire. I am planning on sticking with all seasons.

I just installed the lift kit on my 2019 Prime. The kit does change the caster, but that may have been designed to center the tire in the wheel well. Maybe Prius Off-road can chime in regarding that.

On a side note, I compared my speedometer to a gps app and at 70mph on the gps, the speedo is reflecting 73.

Let’s see how accurate the speedometer is after new tires.

No rubbing at all. It did lose some electric performance, as the gas engine kicks in sooner. The speedometer is closer to accurate now.

Thanks for the info on the tires. I don’t have a prime so I’m in hybrid mode all the time. I’ve heard that is causes a 5-10% decrease in mpg.

I spoke too soon on reporting that the gas engine was kicking in sooner, the battery was depleted. Everything appears normal, although road noise is higher. I may have to insulate.
