    Hey Everyone!

I just signed up because I'll be trading in an 06 Acura RSX-S soon for a Prius. I was thinking about switching out the wheels but there's the issue with the tire pressure monitor sensors that I have to consider - Is it easy to swap the sensors out of the OEM wheels to aftermarket ones?

Some wheels are designed to accept the sensors and some aren't, and you need an installer who know how to be carefull with them.

When buying wheels, be sure to get light weight ones that weigh 18 lbs each or less. Since the airodynamics of many wheels might not be as good, you really need them to be even lighter to break even on MPG.

SSR Class 2 are real light weight, and Nokian WR tires maintain the same MPG as the original tires.

    Hey thanks for the response!

The SSR's are definitely nice. I was also looking at the Motegi Traklite's - supposedly the 15" ones weigh 10 lbs only and the 16" weigh 12-13?

How can you tell if a wheel is designed to accept a sensor or not?
