basically add them all to a screen while disconnected from the car, then go to the car and connect and check the status.

Is the PID in the first post the most updated one? Just got a new phone and making sure it will work when I install it. :)

    Thanks guys!

So how do you load the PID into the Torque folder if you can find the Torque folder when you plug it into PC? Do you have to buy some sort of file manager app?

Put the CSV file in /Sdcard/.torque/extendedpids folder. Create it if you don't have it.

Get ES File Manager from Play store. It is free and I can create folder without rooting. I guess that's because the folder you need to create is on SD card and not in system/OS folder.

Now I can get in to create a folder, but it won't let me name it extendedpids. It will let me name it absolutely anything else, but not that. So weird.

Probably means it exists already, perhaps hidden.

See if the app can show hidden files and folders.

That was my first thought, too. But nothing hidden.

What is the message (error) the app give, when it does not let you create that folder?

Actually I've been doing that hooked up to windows. The app didn't even show, nor let me create, .torque, which is weird since I know the folder is there (via windows).

    Hello,
New to prius chat and forum. As you seem to have some experience here, is there a difference in the bluetooth OBD devices. I don't want a cheap one if I can measure all the advanced parameters of a plug in prius. I am on my 3rd <$20 device and think I may have to go to the kiwi or similar. any suggestions?

Also, is there a starter place to learn more about these PIDs for the PIP?

    Thanks, Michael.

Thanks for compiling this list of PIDs! Torque is awesome for live data, and props to them for supporting custom PIDs.

However, when it comes to configuring car settings, things get difficult. I'm developing an app that provides an easy UI for us (the users) to customize things. I'm looking for people to test it before it's released... and I figured since you all have ELM327 devices, this is a good place to ask. My app can customize lots of settings related to door locks, windows, beeps, lights, A/C, etc. I think you'll find it useful :) So please let me know if you're interested in trying it (either post here or send me a message). Thanks!

I'd be interested in testing an Android app.

Kudos and thanks to USBSeawolf, now even a dope like me is enjoying Torque. His custom PID file can be installed using only an Android phone (no PC) this way:

    • Grab the ES File manager (ESF)
    • Download his custom file (link in post #1) using your favorite web browser on the phone and unzip it.
    • Install Torque if not done already. This will cause the .torque and extendedpids folders to be created
    • In ESF:
    1. Show hidden names in the settings
    2. open /Downloads
    3. move the usb... file to /SD card/.torque/extendedpids folder. The 'move' command is in the drop down menu. Select the file first, then click on 'move'.
    Done!

My main interest in acquiring torque is to monitor the health of the traction battery. I'd like opinions whether a log of minimum and maximum block voltages over time is a reasonable approach. I can always drill down to the the 14 modules if needed.

If so, I'd like to set the graphs to the the same scales so that I have an easy way to eyeball the deltas. Any problem with simply changing the min and max values for the PID in torque ?

I like to monitor the block at min and max also. I am interested in seeing if there is a block that is displayed more often than others, especially minimum.

You can change the min and max, no problem.

Thanks to all who have contributed to the list of PIDs for Torque.

I am using one of the ELM327 OBD readers and a Galaxy Tab to log data. I am currently logging about 90 values and all seem correct to me in the torque log file except the wheel acceleration values which seem to be flipping between the min and max. All other PID values seem correct to me, so I do not think it is the OBD reader. I have a 2014 Prius PHEV Advanced, is it possible that the PIDs changed?

All the wheel speeds are reporting correctly. I am attaching a spreadsheet that shows these values for my last commute. Any help is appreciated. If there is anything else you need from me to diagnose, let me know. Thanks.
