I have put some pix down below. There seems to be some sort of black "stuff" that looks like oil on a couple of the bolts on top the engine.

The first picture is of the bolt that holds the "thing" that connects to number 3 cylinder spark plug. It looks like oil on the top of the bolt, but I put a Q-Tip down into it and nothing is soaking into the cotton from the bolt. I also tried to feel around, but since it is a balmy 20 degrees F, my fingers are not working all that well, but the stuff seems to be some sort of dried glaze.

The second pix is sort of the same thing. But, this is an actual bolt that goes into the "valve cover???" just to the right of the spark plug thing for the number 1 cylinder. All the other bolts up there are clean, except for some left-over mice debris...

Car has some 60 K miles.

    Oil level seems fine.

    Just ignore it?

OK, the forum for some reason is not letting me upload the pixs. Hope this makes sense without them...

Is the car using any water? What's the level like?

Without seeing the pictures it's hard to guess, but could it just be oil that's spilt when being poured in?

Not sure of your files you are uploading Kris. Try jpeg format and limit the size of the file to 800 x 1200 or something similar. File size might be too big if you are using a digital camera and not making the file smaller... Servers do limit what we can upload.

Try again, the pics will really help us.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and will have a wonderful Christmas too!

maybe steam clean it, and then look to see where it's leaking from?
