Prius Tax Credit and HOV Limit

I think everyone who has purchased a new Prius this year is good until June 30th for the 100% tax credit of $3150, but it may drop to 50% if purchased in the next quarter up to Sept. 30th. I've read conflicting things on this. Anyone else?

Sounds like it will be 100% through september as galaxee posted. The sales results announced through the end of April were about 50K, just shy of the 60K (I'd be suprised if they did not hit it by the end of May). You have till the end of the following quarter for 100% credit.

The second half of that is the HOV lanes in CA. Don't know where we stand there... anybody have any news on that? Can you get your sticker before you have your plates?

 

You can get a decent idea by looking at current sales reports like this http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2006/05/02/005418.html along w/ones from previous months and last year. Add up the sales of all the hybrids from Toyota/Lexus that qualify for any credit.
