    I'm sure it doesn't hurt that the Prius actual brake pads get used a lot less than on normal cars, and that the engine is pampered by always being spun up to 1000 rpm before injecting fuel.

    That's OK since the regular Camry w/4 cyl. is below the Camry Hybrid in terms of reliability. Despite the added complexity, CamHy is doing better.
