prius vin range ?

    I am having trouble understanding the Vin # range of my 2008 prius Vin JTDKB20u083375060 , I am trying to get my prius in to have the combo meter repaired under the warranty enhancement program because it is malfunctioning quite often now that the outside temperatures have dropped . The bulletin from Toyota states that for a 2008 the eligibility range is

    VDS – KB20U , serial -3291973/7690436 to 3462539/7818544 and I am not sure if my Vehicle will fit into this range , I am not getting much help from the Toyota dealer yet because I am having trouble explaining my situation to them , I think with a little background knowledge I can get this much needed repair completed , Thanks for any help with reading my vin range.

    welcome to priuschat! why should you have to explain their own warranty to them? they have the enhanced warranty paperwork, and should be able to tell you whether you're covered or not. and if not, why not. all the best!(y)

    I am trying to get it strait before handing my car over to the dealer. They are telling me they will have to check into it after they get my car in the garage and any time spent will be charged to me . I would like to know upfront not after so I am researching myself but am not understanding the Toyota policy bulletin pertaining to my car ? Glad I found prius chat ! This is a cool place with awesome information !

    The serial number range for your VIN should be 3291973 to 3462539. Your VIN 3375060 falls within this serial number range so should be included in the warranty.
