Protect driver-side interior door trim?

Specifically, this piece. My knee leans against this piece and during the summer or when I run in shorts, I use sunscreen. In the past, the sunscreen on my leg has caused soft-touch paint to dissolve. I know this isn’t soft touch but I know it’s also painted and I’m pretty sure it won’t respond well to sunscreen either.

Is there some sort of clear film that I could cut to size that would protect it?
