So I'm getting a delivery job to take up some free time I have since classes are pretty easy at the moment. My car is about to roll over 100k miles, it was also a northen car....is there anything specific I should replace or have handy since I'll probably be putting a lot of miles on the car soon?

I read something about the inverter coolant pump, and changing transaxle fluid...is that it? How hard is the pump to replace, is it cheap OEM or should I get one from a boneyard?

Here are four threads to get you started. First, so you'll know what might be overdue, a review of general maintenance at various intervals:

    http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...70-what-services-you-need-what-you-don-t.html

Next is Hobbit's comprehensive writeup of his 100K routine:

    http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...oubleshooting/70410-100k-maintenance-fun.html

This discusses how to change the transaxle fluid, which I'd recommend if it hasn't been done:

    http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...bleshooting/44124-changing-transaxle-oil.html

And finally, to cover your question about the inverter coolant pump:

A good search, BTW, probably would have found these pretty easily. ;)

Oh, and as to the question of new vs. salvage inverter pump: I asked Patrick Wong (the author of the pump changeout instructions) somewhere along the way if he considered the latter. He said that with the price of a new one ($116 MSRP; less for a careful shopper), he didn't see much need to consider anything else.
