    HI: Hope someone can help

    I have a 2012 prius c

One day I noted that when I started the car the climate control would come on always saying 75 with the auto light on -I would not be able to make any climate controls work. After about five minutes of driving the auto light goes out and the system will relinquish control to me ie climate control buttons respond to my pressing them - I can change direction of the heat to floor defrost etc . However, I can crank the heat dial up to high or low and the air stays at the same temp. The temp of the air being blown out is direclty related to engine speed . If the engine is revving it stays at about 75 degrees but never gets hot . If the engine slows down the air that is being blown out is basically whatever the ambient temperature is .

In the summer the AC will not work I changed the climate control module out and it still does the same thing .My code reader give no codes - My mechanic is stumped Hope someone can help Idling with below zero air blowing in is getting old

Yes. There are many Prius trouble codes that cannot be read with a standard scanner.

With our previous C, the buttons on the climate control tended to stick.
That might be part of your problem.......but likely not all of it.

Have you checked the coolant level lately......or ever ??
