Q: Is it normal for Scangauge to throw lots of pending codes?

This is really a question for all Prius drivers using Scangauge.

I occasionally drill-down to check on pending codes, and my 2007 Prius likes to generate a LOT of them.

Maybe pending codes don't count unless they escalate to an active code that triggers the check engine light.

    What is your experience?

Are they related to one system or component? Maybe they're not so random, and are forshadowing a potential problem?

^ I'm going to have to write them down and research it.

Looks like I have more work to do.

Before you do check the codes on scangauge turn off all x-gauges. So just put something every gauge to display something that was already programmed at the factory. At least mine does show a lot off random codes if you forget some x-gauge on.
