I have a question about the DICE integrated HD/IPOD module in a 2007 Prius.

When I connect my ipod do I have to make a new set of playlists in my car or does the DICE unit detect the playlists that I have make through itunes. Additionally, if it does detect the list of itunes playlists from the ipod does it display the playlist name that I gave it in itunes.

    Thanks,

    Steven

On the 2005 the DICE detects the playlists you've made through iTunes. When D2 is selected, you can move up and down the playlists using the up and down buttons on the steering wheel. It does not display the name of the playlist, however. I don't know of any difference in the 2006+.

Nope, no difference in a 06+

It will show the first song on the playlist however.

What I did was a suggestion I saw on this site. I went to AT&T's voice program and typed in the name of the Playlist and selected a voice. Then I downloaded it, gave it the name of the Playlist and put it as the first song. Then when I going between Playlists I hear the name. Plus, since it shows the title of the first song (when going between playlists), I see the name as well.
