Question about OEM Glass Breakage Sensor

    Hey all,

    I ordered my 2005 Package 6 with the factory glass breakage sensor, but i'm not sure it's installed correctly and/or activated. The blurb for the system says that once you arm the main alarm, tapping with a key on the middle of the driver's side window with medium force should trigger the alarm. I get nada.

    Anyone else with the factory GBS experience this problem?

    I tested mine by:

    - getting in the car
    - having wife lock/arm the car and walk away
    - wait a minute or so
    - hit two metal wrenches together

    alarm went off fine.... I never tried with the key.

    hm, good test. I'm going by the dealer anyway this afternoon to get my alignment fixed (steering is pulling 3 degrees to the right) so they'll look at this as well.
