this is my first post. I’m very happy with my prius prime. I got it on 11/03/18. I have a quick question about pge’s EV-A rate.
It costs me $0.06/kwh for off/partial peak, $0.09/kwh for peak. It looks like much cheaper than my first thought. Is it a kind of special price in winter?

Yes. In the PG&E tariff book, see Sheet 1 of Electric Schedule EV (PDF), which shows the total rates in winter and summer. According to Sheet 4, “The summer season is May 1 through October 31 and the winter season is November 1 through April 30.”
Those amounts are (rounded to the nearest cent) just the charges for generation, and only in winter. They do not include the charges for distribution, transmission, public programs, etc., which are also part of the total rates you pay. See Sheet 2 of the tariff for a detailed breakdown.

divide your total bill by kWh used, that is your rate
