Recently my 08 Prius had the traction battery replaced by Toyota. I was wondering if there is any reason why they have to pull the dash out of the front to replace the traction battery? My Prius started making a noise in the dash and the only reason I know that this was messed with is there is a little clear plastic sticking out of the passengers side of the dash. I am taking this back to the dealer to have this fixed but just curious. Suggestions?

^ What he said. I just puled and replaced, and replaced my traction battery again this weekend. No need for any work forward of the rear seats other than running a scan tool to verify/clear any DTCs.

knowing car dealers, they probably pulled the dash when they found out the ecu had to be replaced.
