The rental we are driving is an '06 with Pkg. 7. It does not have auto headlights or auto locking doors. According to the '07 brochure, the '07 has auto locking doors but still no auto headlights. The brochure also does not mention a Mist function on the wipers. Does the '07 Prius have Auto headlights, auto locking doors (lock when put in D), and a Mist function on the front wipers?

Also, the brochure shows the Touring without the plastic covers, yet I have never seen one without them.

Auto headlights are a Canadian feature so no, it's not on the US cars

Can't comment on the auto-locking doors. They said so in 2005 but removed it when we asked about it, stating it was a website error.

The front wipers do have a MIST function. Simply push the wiper stalk up to activate the MIST (single wipe) function.

Both versions (Touring and non-Touring) come with the plastic covers. You may remove them if you wish.

On other Toyotas, it's user-customisable. There are 4 modes:

OFF - no auto locking whatsoever
1 - locks when you shift out of P but doesn't unlock
2 - locks when you shift out of P and unlocks when you shift into P
3 - locks when you shift out of P and unlocks when you turn the key to ACC

 Some folks may be confused by the "re-lock" function when you have locked the doors and opened them with the fob button and fail to manually open a door within, I believe, 30 seconds. If you call that "auto lock" all the 2004-2007 Prius have it.

There is no "auto lock" feature when you shift into "P" on the Prius.

I wonder if he was talking about the auto-Unlock ability?

The manual for my 2007 shows an auto headlight mode...you need to turn it on with the stick on the left of the steering wheel. The picture shows more headlight modes than what I have on my package B. But apparently, according to the manual, if you have it in the auto setting, the lights will turn on and off according to the light sensor.

There are no differences between the 06 and 07 other than the Touring version becoming available.
The doors don't autolock, Auto headlights are only available in Canada, (we get the HID option and they don't).
Not sure what you mean by Mist function, but it does have 3 speed adjustable intermittent wipers.

My Touring came with the plastic hubcaps. They are easy to take off if you don't like them.

In the North American market, that feature is offered only on cars sold in Canada.
