Prius Shop here sells a Sharkfin or eBay for the stock antenna.

The antenna just screws in like a light bulb. If you screw it back and it holds you don't have to spend any money. If you unscrew it the threads should look clean / even spiral if you notice damage on the part you take off buy a new one, if the part you take off looks good the base threads might be damaged.

If you need to buy a replacment antenna I wouldn't pay much over $5 as you can get a new antenna around that price.

See cheap shorty antenna that works | PriusChat if you want to see the one I got for just over $4.

I don't know what it would cost if the base were damaged.

If it's loosen at the base,OP needs to tighter the nuts at the roof inside the car under the antenna. Need to take out the roof cover and tighten the nut there. Yes change to a shark fin can save the work of tightening the nut. See whether the connection is still good when you install the shark fin. Good luck.

    Tape?
    Really??
Since you are not mechanically inclined, just let the dealer fix it!
It might still be under warranty?
Got a mechanically inclined friend you trust, ask him/her for an assist, other wise, it's really dealer time!
