I keep hearing about the rear view mirror blocking people's view and have read about tricks to overcome this.
Well, did anyone try pushing it up?
You simply push and the whole stem rocks up to the ceiling.
Try it , you'll like it.

Yes I have and it still blocks a bit. I've pivoted it up on both joints.

I've read a couple of ideas one was to reposition the arm another
by glueing a new window piece for the arm to slide onto
    too much work
the other was to simply turn the whole mirror upside down I know it sound nuts but it works
my mirrow kept dropping so that everytime Igot in I had to put it back up near the roof
    now nice and high
a little unusual but it is up higher and more window
