rearview tv camera?

    What's with the item I read about a Prius with a rearview TV camera for backing up? I understood that it came with the #9 package; perhaps only available in Japan as is the "automatic parking" feature. Anyone know?

    There is a camera input on the '04 NAV unit, which CoastalDave is taking advantage of. That's why his prototype '04 pics show "Check surroundings...". There's also a "notch" where the camera would go if we had the auto-park system. I wonder if we'd be able to get that same camera and connect it to the NAV for a reverse camera w/o self-park?

    On some Lexus models (e.g., LS, RX), the navigation system comes with a back-up camera. So it isn't surprising that the navigation unit includes the camera input, even though they choose not to include the camera for all car models.
