I just want to post a note to thank the users on this forum for great advice on my "05" Prius. First, my car needed a new AC evaporator coil and the local dealer in Bradenton, FL quoted me $1286.00 plus taxes. A Priuschat user advised me to go to an Indie repair shop in St. Pete called "Ice Cold Air". The cost out the door with everything included was $820.00. GREAT SAVINGS!.

The next job was for a cracked serpentine Drive Belt. The dealer - "Gettel Toyota" again quoted me $140.00 plus tax. The price out the door with parts, labor, and taxes was $63.00.

Just shows that you should never take your car back to the dealer for repairs. Keep in mind that there are Indie repair shops that do know how to work on these Prius cars.

Thanks to all of you that helped.
