    Hi
New to the forum - i'm due for my 60k service on my 2006 Prius. 600 bucks at broadway toyota! i've been taking my Prius to broadway up till now - no complaints tho not sure if i'm overpaying for what i'm getting. Budget is getting tighter so i'm wondering if there are cheaper, reliable options

I would replace the Automatic Transmission Fluid even if not towing, if it was me, unless you already have.

The ATF 'should be' $100 and all the rest another $100.

I always took my 2005 to Ron Tonkin. I don't remember how much my 60K service was, but I'm pretty sure it was less than $600. You might want to give them a call and ask.

Jimbo's list is what I've heard from my local service advisor: you don't *need* to change anything but the oil, oil filter and maybe the air filters until you've hit 100k.

If you *want* to be extra cautious, you can change the transaxle fluid while you're at it.

But if you believe your car's doing fine, you haven't driven it very hard, or in severe conditions, you should be okay with just an oil / filter change and tire rotation. You can knock the dust out of the air filter yourself for free. :)

If you're paying any more than $200, you're getting ripped off. Shop around. Maybe find an independent mechanic that gets good reviews?
