I replaced one bad module and seemed to run fine for a 3 or 4 miles, but now getting red triangle and a yellow exclamation mark with no codes showing up (using Torque app) and car goes in and out of a weak sputter just like it did before I replaced the bad module.

Need help figuring out whats going on and/or what went wrong and what to do next.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

usually, replacing them in pairs works a little better. some codes need toyota tech stream to be read, but my guess is, you have a bad/old hybrid battery, which needs serious attention or replacement.
you can't just replace bad cells, that's only about 1% of what needs to be done.

Had these guys from Orlando area come out 4 times replacing the battery or sticking one cell in due to failing before warranty up and now this. I am frantically trying to sell stuff on eBay so I can buy a used battery from auto salvage because I am in bad health and can't work.

So depressed and stressed I could just die!

on your 4th attempt, where did you get the module?

If you have the expertise to take the battery apart and put it back together safely, you can rebuild it properly yourself. You would need to get a charger/balancer, just to make sure everything is balanced when you are done. That tool will cost you around $500

I replaced one bad cell, but the one I replaced was melted and burnt at the terminal and the one next to it looked a bit heat damaged around the terminal, but didn't have the cash to order a replacement so left it in.

I actually had to sand the blackened copper connector on the sidewalk to make it shine copper again. My orange plastic bus bar (not the wiring harness side) was melted as well, but there was nothing I could do about it other than place the copper connector back though the broken/melted plastic.

I had a Mini VCI and Techstream about a year and a half ago but left it over at my mothers and the kids or someone lost it, so guess I will have to try and order another one.

    Purchased it from here:

    2010 2014 Toyota Prius 7 2V Ni MH Hybrid Battery Cells 6 5 AH Tested | eBay

EDIT: At the time however, I didn't realize it said 2010 - 2014

I just dont have money to buy one...if I had that much to spend I would take my chances with saving up bit more and buying an auto salvaged one with supposedly a certain amount of decent low miles.

How did all the stuff get melted? So you basically need 2 good modules and it should be a good crutch for a while?

I think if i had been able to get one more cell to replace the slightly heat damaged one...well, possibly yeah.

And I think I drove it too long after it popped the red triangle is why it melted.

I don't think you can put a gen3 module and a gen2 module together in one block. You need to have 2 matching gen2 module together in a single block.

The melting sounds bad, not sure the cause

1st step: Pray and ask God for the patience, wisdom, and the means to repair it. I've found by turning things over to Him, the stress level goes WAY down!
2nd step: If you don't have Techstream, you can check each one with a voltmeter. A bad module will have about 6.25V compared to 7.5V or so for the others.
3rd step: If possible, get a 4 channel RC charger to balance the whole pack. A DC powered one costs less than $100. Lots of info on here to do it. It does take a while though.
