So yesterday while driving this light came on.

Also, either the maintenance req'd or the check engine light came on (both are on, but one was already on before).

A box at the top of the screen popped up that said "Problem"

The car doesn't seem to be having any noticable problems aside from the light. Am I going to have to fork over $150 to have the dealership diagnose this, or would it be worthwhile to bring it to autozone to get them to check the ECU?

Take it to Art's Automotive in Berkeley. They'll certainly be able to retrieve the fault codes for less that $150.

get the codes (Autozone may be able to get them to you for free) and then report them back. There are many guys on here that will help you diagnose the problem if you provide the codes.
