Anyone ever heard of (or used) any of these peer to peer car renting sites?

It can definitely have it's merits for being green.

I probably wouldn't rent out my Prius, but maybe my truck.

I think Relay Rides is the nationwide one.

    Thoughts?

Yes. I have heard of them. I think I heard of it on Nightly Business Report and I think thru GM, RelayRides using OnStar to open up peer-to-peer car-sharing before.

I posted about such services before at Help! Traction Battery Question | PriusChat

When I had two cars, I was thinking of loaning out my Prius on occasion but I am a bit concerned about how people drive the car and whether there'd even be any demand. I currently live in a residential area that's pretty far from everything. I'd also be a little concerned about people using it as a cover to monitor my comings and goings to find good times to burglarize my place.

Ya, I wouldn't list my Prius but I figure a truck would be a perfect thing to put on there. There are a lot of people that need to haul stuff for a half a day or so.
