Replacing a windshield with HUD

    Any HUD owners here replace a windshield without OEM glass? From the research I've done so far it sounds like a special coating is necessary for the HUD, so even aftermarket glass companies are telling me they're going to Toyota to get parts rather than 3rd party.

    This true for everyone?
