I've determined that my condenser is leaking (has attached drier). Already ordered denso replacement and am planning to work on this weekend.

I purchased two cans of the interdynamics hybrid r134a (that supposedly has .5 ounce of oil in each can).

The prius takes about 16 oz of refrigerant, so basically like 1.33 cans., yielding a little under .7 oz of oil.

Is this sufficient? Or do i need more oil since drier is being replaced? My understanding is that most of the oil would remain in the compressor and I would be adding too much if I were to add back more than that.

Hoping somebody might know the answer. I have vacuum pump and gauges on order.

Also, can I use nylog on o-rings or just regular ester oil?

    Thanks,
    Tom
