Replacing the HID Ballast and D2R bulbs in a 2005

    OK Prius DIY gurus I need guidance.
    I am replacing the HID bulbs (D2R) and one ballast that that has gone dead. The dealer wants $160 for each bulb, $337 for the ballast and labor (est. 3 hours). I think this is just plain robbery and have priced the parts out (http://www.hidconcepts.com) at less than $300. What is the best way, not necessarily the easiest, to accomplish this?

    There are many posts about HID's on PC, the short advice is to make sure you get quality, as the cheap ones do not last. Also, some DIY videos on youtube, and some good info at Luscious Garage | Hybrid Specialists. Here is a clear look at what the job involves:
