Is it at all possible to reprogram the SE/SS to unlock all the doors and not just the driver's door? I thought I read something about it on here that it could be done, but I can't find out how.

On a side note, I avg. a respectable 45.6 MPG on my first tank. Shooting for 47 on tank two.

Yes, you can. I don't remember exactly how to do it but it is in the manual. Maybe it is in the files somewhere here also.

Hold down the "panic" button and "lock" button simultaneously on a remote and it will cycle through the various options.

    RTFM!! ;-)

    Unlock Function

Why not just push the unlock button two (2) times quickly? On my Avalon and 04 Prius it seems to to work for me.

    Re: Unlock Function

Using SE there's no "pushing" of anything. What he's trying to achieve is unlocking of all doors when he grabs the handle of the driver's door.

I worked on a farm a long time ago. A standard rule to live by on the farm was, "When all else fails, read the manual." The other one was, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." And not so much a rule as an excuse, when building or repairing fences to keep the cows in, was, "It's good enough for who it's for."

Yeah, but the manual's IN THE CAR, and I'm sitting here lazy as all hell in front of the computer....

I tried going through "all the options", but I have no clue what they are. It seemed to alternate between driver's door only and continuous beeping after the car is locked(?). Seriously, I did look at the manual a while ago about this, but didn't find it!

To be honest, I read the manual descriptions several times, and could not figure out what they meant. But I finally decided I like the default configuration: driver's door unlocks itself only; passenger door (and hatch?) unlocks all doors.

I got tired of unlocking the rear driver side door separately so I went with the all open. I often have my hands full going to the car, brief case, thermos, and what ever and all I have to do is touch the driver lock then open the rear door for the junk.
