I tried to reset my Trip Odometer after my first fill up and everything seem to stay the same. The instructions seem to say hold the Trip button on the steering wheel for 3 seconds and it should reset. Does this reset A & B and does the display have to be on a certain screen when you push the reset button?

If you want to reset trip A, select the trip A display first so that it's showing when you try to reset. Same thing for B. They have to be reset separately, and have to be showing at the time to reset them.

While I do reset my trip meter (trip A) when I fill up, I also record the odometer reading. I rely on the odo readings for calcs, just use the trip meter for back up, and feedback.

Mainly cus I want an unbroken record, and the trip meters can be accidentally reset.

I use "A" for the tank and "B" for experiments. The reason is I once reset "B" by accident but resetting "A" is more involved, less likely to make a mistake.

Yeah, they're too darn easy to accidentally reset. I soon learned to be quick on that Trip button, unless intending to reset "A" or "B". I use "A" for current trip, and "B" for distance since last complete fill-up (which isn't necessarily the same as distance since last fueling).

Agree with Mendel about using only the odometer for official records, despite its larger rounding errors.
