Results of RobertO's "Plunk Yer Butt Here" Test

OK. Done aty last.

I finally evaluated all 5 Toyota products (based on current or "gonna-=be" hybrid status. Ratings are baseed on a scale of I or 10, 10 being the Holy Grail of "Gosh This Is Roomy!", which would be most any S-Class Mercedes Benz.

The baseline vehicle is my 1995 Mercedes-Benz 300E, (the mid-range car, not the S-Class Plushmobile).

2004 Camry 9.1

2004 Prius 8.9

2004 Highlander 8.7

2004 Lexus RX 8.5

2004 Matrix 8.5 (entering; same chassis and the Prius)

NOTES:

The RX was gorgeous, but I still had to duck my head do climb in. I've really got a problem with the price. Sorry.

Higlhander seemed a bit roomier (because it is!), still had to duck my head on entering.

Carmy was just right on entering but no better on the the Prius on that score. Definately more roomy, nice midsize or better feel.

Matrix seemed to crowd me a bit. Too much Bling-Bling clutter, I guess.


CONSLUSION: I just don't need a 4-wheel rig, so I've probably wait for the Camry, or maybe a H version of the Scion (only a rumor).

If I trully needed 4WD or AWD I go with the Highlender. Especial dollar wise.
