Richard M Sherman (of the Sherman Brothers, Disney) passed away

Richard and his brother Robert not only wrote so much of the Disney music of a certain era (from the film score to Mary Poppins to theme park music to everything else) but also worked outside of Disney on things like "Snoopy Come Home" "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and a lot more.

There's a great documentary from 2009 ("The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story) made by a family member that delves into their personal lives as well; the brothers worked together fine but their families never interacted with each other, as the brothers had completely different personalities.

His older brother Robert died in 2012 at the age of 86, but Richard was 95 (just shy of 96) when he passed away a few days ago.
