I checked the search function and got a error message.
There are times when I'd like to run the fan for cabin ventilation and when I press the fan button, the temperature setting shows up on the display. I assume the vehicle will either heat or cool the air until it matches the temperature setting. I do not want the engine or AC to be used to change the temperature of the air. What I'd like to see is the fan running and no temperature setting on the left of the display.

Just turn off the AC button and set the temperature below the cabin temperature.

What I do is: 1) AC button off (No AC part); 2) Set temp target to LO (No heat part).

I press up on the fan speed button. I then press the temperature to the desired temperature. A/C is not on and Auto is not on. AFAIK, temperature is not being regulated. The temperature you see on the screen is just the level of heat coming in like a rotary knob on other cars. Usually, I leave this on LO.

I appreciate the help on this one. We only drive the car in the summer and haven't had a concern about driving without the AC until recently.

bisco, thanks for your especially constructive comment.:)

This is exactly what I do. With AUTO off. The only thing is that I have to turn on the windshield defogging frequently. In present weather condition (ambient temperature now oscillates in range 0-10 Celsius [32-50F] ) the windshield becomes foggy quiet fast. Did not found yet what is better - maintaining the continuous blow with some heating or switch on-off defogging (which engages AC every time). I think first option.
