I have heard of Tampa Hybrids, but thats awfully far for me.

Task at hand is that i have a ABS module issue, the pressure is bleeding of, so the built in pump is running 10 seconds on and 25 of all the time. All brake related lights are on as well.

I think gen 2 had a similar issue but mine is a 2011 gen 3.

So can anybody give me some pointers to a great mechanic in the area ?

    Thanks u all.

No problem, lol. Would you happen to know: if you just show up at the dealership, what kind of estimate would they give? Crazy high I assume?

dealer. first they take $50 from you to even look at it. then the numbers i heard are simply outrageous. but it also makes me wonder why this is not a safety recall since its the brakes. i checked with dealer this morning, and he said no recall on my 2011. used the complete assembly is like 100, dealer pricing is like 2k for the part alone i heard.

so its just a rip of when you need to see the dealer as usual these days unfortunately and all car brands are the same btw.

there must still be some good honest mechanics left in this world i hope.

preferably in the ft myers sarasota florida area.

tampa hybrid quoted me 900 btw, and another shop in srq 600, both using a used part. dealer i think its well over 2k with a new part..

if anybody could help me out with this sure highly appreciated especially since my last name is not rockefeller :)

the main reason why i am asking is that i am keen on a referal, meaning somebody had a good experience at wherever they took their prius here in southwest florida.

i am sure there are some good prius mechanics around here since i see priuses all over.

so thanks for all pointers anybody could give me.

There's probably nothing hybrid-specific about this problem, so any independent mechanic in your area with good references should be able to do this. There are tons of independent Toyota mechanics who can do this.

Replacing the hybrid battery or dealing with a transaxle failure which you want to repair, not replace, that would be the work of a hybrid specialist.

yes rebound, i already was thinking along the same lines and looked for independent toyota shops today. found a few in ft myers and sarasota.

after all its a mechanical job = removing a part and replacing. then all whats left is bleeding brakes and probably erasing whatever codes.
