No, I don't plan on driving and watching TV at the same time, but it sure would be nice to have a TV to watch some sports while I sit in the parking lot and wait for my wife when I take her shopping. :p

Has anyone done this, or anything similiar to it?

    Thanks!

Yes, it can be done, but it might kill your MPG's. What stations do you want to watch? Are they broadcast? Maybe a TV tuner with amplified antenna would be useful.

IMHO a much better and far more versatile solution is to buy a Slingbox, and use your high-speed broadband connection at home, and a high-speed wireless data service (Verizon BroadbandAccess) to watch your home satellite TV receiver remotely from your car. I use this to watch my home TV from the hotel when I'm travelling on business. I can control my DVR remotely, and then watch time-shifted recordings when I'm thousands of miles from home, or even in another country.
