Sorry if this has been answered before, but I did a search and can't seem to find it.

I have sparkling new scan gauge and I have a couple of questions.

How do you get it to display HV battery voltage, and State of charge?

The manual suggest their web site, (which is no help!) and users groups,, I guess that's us!

    Thanks

I answered my own question. There is an error in their PDF so that the Prius page doesn't show up. If you view it through HTML, you can read the codes. The numbers don't line up properly with the proper heading, but you can work your way through it.

PS. HV battery Voltage and State of Charge are kinda cool to see.

The code for SOC doesn't work for everyone. Many of us can't get SOC to show up and the ScanGauge people can't figure out why it doesn't work for everyone.

    David,

It is far from intuitive but assuming you have the adanced X-gauge function here is what you have to do. Follow the instructions in the book to get to the x-gauge functions. They you go into edit. It will then require you to enter a series of codes for each additional function. I added Horsepower, HV battery voltage, and HV battery state of charge.

THE ONLY WAY I COULD GET THE CODES WAS HERE:http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache...+codes&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=8&gl=us&client=safari

If you go to the normal "support" section of the scan gauge site, it will send you a PDF that is lacking all the pages that are relevant. I was able to find the above link after a long series of searches.

    Good luck,

    Icarus

PS If you can't get them I'll post them here. In fact perhaps I'll try to post them later anyway.

Here is the code lines from the above link.

On the scan gauge site, the numbers DO NOT line up properly with the appropriate function, but the numbers are correct If you follow the prompts correctly it will be come clear what number goes where.

    Prius HV battery voltage

I hope I got these right! If not try the link!

My mistake, it's not SOC that I can't get, it is BTV.

This documentation difficulty does not bode well for people being
able to easily get battery *current*, which is what you really
want to monitor instead. It baffles me why Ron et al only went
for voltage when they were sniffing out the PIDs, when they
could have grabbed a whole slew of battery-ECU stuff at the time.

I wrote to linear logic to ask if they had any intention of offering inverter temp, or battery temp or any other items in new releases. I await an answer.
