I am in Orlando as are most toyota dealers for the NADA convention. Talk about bad timing.

I don't see anything inflammatory or pandering to fear, uncertainty or
doubt in the media report. None of the comenters interjected a
Scion/Toyota connection. So for now at least, no damage done.

    The news report says:
..."The fire department said the car lost control and cut across a
median and several lanes of oncoming traffic before careening into the
    water..."

Small matter, but I believe that it would have been the driver that lost
control... if that is what happened. From a "What really happened?"
perspective, there is much missing, and unfortunately will never be
known due the single occupant having died...
It could be that the death or a seizure of some kind preceded the accident.

If this accident gets rolled into the current media hype, it is nothing but
    hysteria mongering.

Where the heck is there a meaningful connection?
