Unfortunatly I had a fender bender a couple weeks ago in our 2007 Prius. Guy driving a pickup truck was backing out of a parking space, didn't see the car and backed into the right front fender. Bumper missed the tire, but a decent dent in the fender. Car is drivable, took it to the local Toyota dealer immediately, they checked it over, extent of damage, bent fender, and fender liner bent bumper cover. Suggested taking it to a local body shop for repair, supposedly the best one in town. (this is a small town) Pickup Truck driver's insurance also suggested this shop, ok'd the repairs etc.

Thing is, been over a week and still no replacement parts. Is there a body parts shortage or what? They're using new, not salvage parts. Apparently the toughest part of this repair is going to be paint, Barcelona Red, and they have to also blend into the door and hood to get it to look right.

And on a side note, while at the dealer the sales manager came in, asked how we liked the car and said we could most likely trade it for more than we paid for it, they're short on Priuses, and need some used ones bad. We're like uh, no, then we'd have to buy another one, and that would cost a TON about now.
