My prius is 2013,24000mileage,no accidents, maintenance well.I bought it as new.

I would like to hear advice. As I will be out of town for long term, about 1year, should I sell or keep?
I have hear that keeping a car is harder than it looks like, since they will need to move often. it will be hard to find a person who takes care of my car. However, when I sell my car, selling cost value will be going down more than you spent at the beginning.Keeping car means there is a dealer which they store cars with good condition.it will cost $300- /month.

Batteries hate not being used, I would sell. (I would give it to a relative to drive, but that does not seem to be a choice)

Keep it, the hv battery is under warranty for 10 years. $300 a month? I'll let you use my lot for half price

I say, "Sell it". Over a years time the car will depreciate significantly + storage fees are way up there. Take the money now and run.

tough call, if you decide to keep, research the best method for preserving integrity, especially the hybrid battery.

    tsp2013,

Having a 2013, and buying a new 2016, I would sell the 2013 to give it a good home.
If it will not be driven for a year, or you have to find someone to 'take care' of your
car, I would sell it, save/invest the proceeds, and buy a 2016(used) or a 2017 (new).
I have had a couple of car valets compliment on the new Prius looks/interior!

The quiet ride, handling, safety features is much improved for 2016. Look at
    a hybrid, or maybe a plug-in!

    Good luck!
