    Separate Forum for Games?

With all the different games coming up sometimes the first page of FHoP is nothing but these games. So is it time for a separate forum for all the games? Personally I find the word games kind of annoying. Seems as soon as you post something that you would like to get some feedback on it disappears onto the second page because there are so many different games on the front page.

p.s. Case in point, right after posting this it was already in 5 place and a few minutes later it was more than half way down the page. LOL!

An option to not view FHOP when viewing unread posts would work for me....free of course.

I agree - if we all saw fit to segregate political discussion to its own "free speech zone" I think it entirely appropriate to relocate all the games to a "free entertainment zone" - as they do indeed overwhelm the first page of Fred's.

Fred's WareHouse of Endless Extravagant Entertainment - the FWHEEE!! page!

I'm pretty neutral about a separate "Games" forum. I enjoy participating in the game threads but I can see how they might be annoying to other non-interested parties.

And if there were a distinct forum it could be called FHOG (Fred's House of Games)!

I personally would like to see a separate games thread that would require a subscription in order to see it. My issue is that there are times when I only have ten or fifteen minutes to check in and must scan through many pages of posts to catch up. Then when I do have the time I can look through all of the posts.

Too bad there isn't a "block forum" option that I could show or hide. That's it - a show or hide option for each forum! (Or is that the same as subscribe to threads?)

I was so looking forward to a "Only Sixteen Words" thread becoming a massive hit.

Yeah, Fred's Game Room isn't a bad idea. An even better idea, though, is to get rid of all those annoying threads aren't games.

:bump: Giving this a bump today becuase it's been moved to the second page on account of 13 of the 20 posts on FHoP were games and a good deal over half of those were the Word games. LOL! :fear: :D

p.s. Mods any chance a seperate forum for games may happen?

    This does make sense.

Something else which would help is to move the "Subscribed Treads" link out from under the "Quick Links" drop-down and onto the tool bar next to "View New Posts." This would then give PriusChaters an easy way to chose between viewing all new posts, or just those new posts on threads you are active on. It's a no-brainer. They go hand in hand, and should be next to each other. :)

I would also suggest moving "User CP" and "Member List" from the tool bar and placing them under the "Quick Links" drop-down. Just how many times per day, week, month does your average PriusChater go to their User CP or check the member list?
Besides, a link to the User Control Panel is already under the Quick links . . . and the Member List fits in nicely with the Quick Links genre.

This cleans up the tool bar and makes it more user friendly.

Sweet someone else will have to make the suggestion to the Mods though. They have me on ignore. [IMG] [IMG] Not an entirely unsatisfactory consequence in some respects. :p:D

OK, this was on page 3 for me, so bumping it back up the list for everyone to see. Definitely need a separate games forum.

This is becoming something of a game itself, poking this thing up to keep it visible.

Better not call it the board games thread, or nobody will be interested.

Would it mean we can't play games in any of the other threads? Would anyone take the "funny police" seriously?
