What do you do when you can't get your Gen 3 into Maintenance Mode?
    Followed the sequence shown here:
    1. Begin with the car and all accessories turned off.
    2. Set the parking brake.
    3. With the car in Park, and your foot off the brake pedal, turn the Power Switch "On" by pressing it twice.
    4. With the car in Park, and your foot off the brake pedal, fully depress the accelerator twice.
    5. Step on the brake pedal and use the shift lever to shift from Park to Neutral.
It won't let me shift it into Neutral.
It doesn't respond to the joystick(shifter) after performing steps 1-4. Thus am getting stuck at step 5.

Please advise, is there another way to get into Maintenance Mode?
Disconnected the 12V auxiliary battery and reconnected it reset the ECU, but that didn't correct the issue.
Not showing any Error codes in the Torque or Dr. Prius apps.

Are you holding the shifter at N for the needed amount of time? There's a delay, just like shifting to N any other time.

Yes Azusa, tried putting into Maintenance Mode from the Dr. Prius app, but nothing happened.
Figured out the issue. The culprit turned out to be a failing 12V battery.
Only needed to get into MM to properly bleed the air out of the system after adding some radiator fluid.
Upon attempting to get the car into Maintainance Mode, couldn't. And worse yet, all of a sudden had to push Power a few times to just get the car to start.
Couldn't figure out why attempting to enter MM would impact the ability to start.
Wasn't evident at the time of the post. As the battery was less than 4 yrs old, had ruled it out. Jumped to assume the vehicle computer was jacked up like an old Windows XP computer OS.
After reading other forums learned that what was occuring was that the engine was being started via the hybrid battery and rather than from the auxillary battery. Upon replacing the 12V battery it now consistently starts right away and all systems are working proper.
FYI - the AGM replacement battery with tax was $212. That's nearly double of what it costs 4 years ago - crazy inflation/gouging occuring!

I replaced my Gen 1's aux battery something like five years ago, and my Gen 3's a year or so ago, and a family member's Gen 2 something like three years ago, and it was around two hundred and change each time.

Just checked some Exide 95Ah AGM battery prices around here. They appear same they’ve been during the past 5-6 years. I’ve bough three of them during this time frame so i remember well

Local, west coast dealership parts dept quoted me $340 CDN a few weeks back, for the Yuasa. Battery retailer in Saskatchewan will sell me the same battery for $230 CDN, ship to me battery for free, and the sales tax will be (roughly) 6% (vs 12% locally). The Saskatchewan battery likely passed through the port of Vancouver, on it's way east.
