Ok, so way back in November, I picked up a used hybrid (10/11 plate, 33k miles). According to the service book, it's been through all of it's services on a yearly basis, as expected, including it's 40k/4 year service, done at 33k miles.

Now, it's currently got just over 40k on the clock (new job, lots of commuting), and I'm trying to work out whether it needs to go back in, given that it's not at either the year, or the 10k miles since the last service, I'm a little lost.

You need to have it serviced at 10k miles since the last service, so it would be at 43k miles.

Thanks for the info. I'll book it in then.

To go by the book, the service is done at the distance or date, whichever comes first. Just keep on doing that?
