The other two that you'll need numbers for are tank size, 12 gallons (actually 11.9, but the SG doesn't accept decimals for this) and engine size, 1.5L. You can also set backlight colors and units of measure to your preferences, and can calibrate to your actual speed and fuel usage; details for all of that are in the manual.

I set my tank size to 10 gallons to get a more realistic guestimate of miles to empty. I still leave about 50 miles in reserve. I don't like walking.

How accurate is the miles to empty on the sg? I notice that it thinks that the car is using fuel (.2 gph) when in warp stealth, and I haven't had to test it since I just get gas when I'm on my way home with 2 pips or less. I set mine on 10 as well since my fill up is usually just over 9 gallons.

How is the LOD (engine load) readout calculated?

Is this a useful parameter when trying to find the sweet spot (max efficiency)?

I wish it were a vacuum gauge instead.

If you switch the unit to metric, enter 45 litres for tank capacity, then switch back to US units, you will have the real tank capacity (if you want it).
