Definitely worth it for me. :0) Bought it from a member on here for $65. You can purchase one from the PC store for $74, I think?

I tried to buy a Prius one in like Mid November.. they had a 4 week wait..

I wanted it for Christmas Present so I couldn't wait.

Went to "another company" and paid $71 delivered. Right in the ballpark..

I did buy the extended warranty through Troy though! Great to deal with.. very easy seamless transaction!

SharkFin is definitely the best mod in all Prius!
I'll do mine soon, waiting for warmer weather.

Does the loss affect AM stations too?

Yes, AM stations lose out as well.

Looks GREAT! I really want one. I just wish the wait wasn't so long. :(

I've been thinking.... (dangerous, just ask my wife)
I have a Barcelona Red. I am wondering what a Black Shark Fin would look like. The standard antenna is black. The black fin would really stand out.

    Am I crazy????

    Bob

PS I painted a couple of walls in my house bright red. My wife though I was crazy but now she really like them.

The shark fin is a little antenna that looks like - - well a shark's fin that replaces the stock antenna on the Prius (also popular on other sporty cars).

Benefits: Looks is about it. Reception is worse. Aerodynamic benefit is negligible. Might be a little less hassle through automatic car washes. Also less susceptible to vandalism.

I think it looks better, but the reason I got it was to be able to hide my sirius antenna. I got both antennas up in there and it really cleaned up the look. I don't know how it will effect reception, but I don't listen to the radio, only sirius and CDs...
