I just bought an '08 Prius (5) and need to leave it for 6-7 weeks while I move my family to N. VA from ND. Will it be okay during this time if it is not started or should I find someone to start and drive it weekly? Thx, awiz11
:welcome: Welcome to PriusChat, awiz11! You'll have no problem with the HV battery, the 12V battery is another issue. I'd disconnect the 12V battery to store your Prius 6-7 weeks. It might self-discharge over that time, but it's not likely. You can leave a Prius 12V battery connected for a week or two without running the car without worry, but 6-7 weeks is a stretch. Or get a friend to put the car in READY every week for 20 minutes. They don't have to drive it, just get it to READY and listen to the radio for a while. The 12V battery is charged from the HV battery, and in READY the engine will come on to charge the HV battery if it gets low. Have a good move and congratulations on your Prius!
