Just bought my prius. DS mirror cover (cap, colored part) is scratched to hell and looks terrible.. Can't find just the cap. I can but a complete set of two (driver and passenger) mirror assemblies online for about 60.00

Does anyone have all black side mirrors ? How do they look? Anyone have a pic? My car is dark silver metallic, so I think it might blend. I'm pretty sure if I buy a rattle can of the correct paint from the store and paint the caps myself they will not turn out too well...

    Thanks!!

aftermarket mirrors -- at least the 1 installed on mine by a body shop-- the mirror vibrates going down the road. not as sturdy as the oe at all. might be able to have a local body shop match your color and paint the new covers for not too much $$. or find a good mirror in a junk yard.

That's what I was afraid of. After talking with the dealer, I can order one pre painted (cover) for 43.99. Done. Now to figure out how to remove the old one. At least I can practice on the damaged one.

Find a flat plastic spludger tool with a small hook lip and, on the short outer edge, get in-between the black edging and the colored cover and give it a firm yank in the frontward direction. It should just pop off.

    Hope that is understandable.
