Nice find ! good to see my dues being put to good use, and the Club is not spreading more myths about hybrids while responding responsibly and intellectually on a rather hottly debated topic.....

"Oh btw, we have studies proving that smoking IS good for you and will add 10 years to your life. Of course all results and data is unavailable for review and any contradictory statements about our study will be viewed as slander and will be civilly prosecuted for the sum a jillion gazillion dollars!"

I believe the correct response to this is "ROFL".

Actually, I took issue with this article as his conclusion was that you can just go buy a cheap, fuel efficient car, and not bother with hybrids, as the gas savings isn't all that much better.

Lately, I've been rather disillusioned with the Sierra Club, and don't plan on renewing my membership. They are still pro-hunting, pro-fishing, and pro-developing the "wilderness" for people to exploit.

Maybe that's because that's how much they were paid to do the study?

Cheaper than actually(not pretending) bringing a green vehicle to market.

That or giving away 100 cars on the Oprah show as a promotional gag.
