Sirius at Dealer....

    My 06 is on order, and the dealer is including Sirius. I have seen the threads here on problems with integrated dealer installed Sirius. It has some type of antenna that mounts inside by the windshield. Is this for real, and why would they keep adding it to these cars if they are junk? I am considering taking my aftermarket receiver and antenna out of my old car and putting it in this one after I get it.

    I'd be interested to know if you end up with the "static" problem.
    Tune to a news or talk station on the Satellite input and listen for
    high frequency distortion.
    I've got it in my '06 Pkg 4 with dealer installed Sirius.
    If you've got it, make sure the dealer knows about it before you even leave the dealership.

    I also have an aftermarket receiver, but cannot get it to integrate with the steering wheel controls and Multi-function display (or I'd have already done that!)
