I'm attending a concert soon that will probably end late, around 10 to 11 pm, and I know for sure that all hotels and motels will be checked out. So I decided to sleep in my Prius for the night and drive home in the morning. Can that work??

Ya hotelprius on YouTube. There’s tons of vandwellers that use their Prius for sleeping. It’s a mobile generator! I say go for it. Just get a carbon monoxide detector alarm just in case. You should be fine though.

I've tried it once. Just a 2 hour nap. I was running the AC, and so the engine would come on about every 15 minutes? And the sound and vibration woke me. But it's nice to know we can stay in that car all night and no harm is done. :) If possible, leave the air\heat off.

If you shut it off, make sure you open the driver's door one time to turn off the headlights. I learned this one the (almost) hard way when I opened the passenger door, pressed Power to pull a CD out of the player, turned Power back off. Locked the passenger door and realized the headlights were still on.
